Ms Nguyen has written the following reports and articles which have been retained in the Library of Wollongong University:

  1. 1995: An Article title “The participation of the Vietnamese in the Practice of Law in Australia”.
  2. 1997: Major Project title: “The Vietnamese and the Law in New South Wales”.

Ms Thi Cam Hong Nguyen finished her Law Degree with honours in July 1997.  She was admitted and has been practising as a solicitor since 1998. She is a registered migration agent has represented clients in the Immigration Review Tribunal ("MRT") and Administrative Appeals Tribunal ("AAT").  She has been focusing on partner (spouse) visa, fiancé visa, or same sex partner visa.  Importantly, she was successful in submitting Schedule 3 Criteria Compelling Reasons for her client who had stayed in Australia illegally for five years.  After considering her submission with respect to the compelling reasons, the Department of Immigration and Border Protection has granted a partner visa to her overstayed client.
